writers of the evening T.S Høeg and Morten Søndergaard:
Tuesday, November 7, at 8 pm at
Literaturhaus, Møllegade 7, 2200 Kbh. N.
This
evening will be a chance to watch some seldom screened short films and
listen to some fabulous poetry and writing. The theme of the night is
Music.
The short films will be:
Woyzecks Sidste Symfoni (Woyzeck’s Last Symphony) (2001, 40 minutes long) by Nikolaj Arcel
from Denmark. It is about a world famous Czechoslovakian composer who
migrates to Denmark where he has to compose music for porn movies to
make money.
The film won the Grand Prix at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in 2002.
Torzija (from 2002, 13 minutes long) by Stefan Arsenijevic from Slovenia.
The film is about a choir that tries to escape from Sarajevo to Paris
but is delayed by a pregnant cow having a complicated delivery.
The film is the product of a rare cooperation between artists from
three different Baltic countries. The scriptwriter and the actors are
from Bosnia, the director is from Serbia and the production is from
Slovenia.
Torzija has won a number of international prizes. Among other the
prizes of best short film at the Berlin International Film Festival and
European Film Awards 2003.
After a short break the writers T.S Høeg and Morten Søndergaard
will read some selected extracts from their works. Afterwards the
audience has an opportunity to pose questions to the invited authors.
